In their own words...
Excerpts from scholars' remarks at the Act Six Community Celebration on March 15, 2016.
I am an immigrant from Liberia. There are boys and girls at home looking to me saying, "If Josie can do it, I can, too." Because of Act Six, I'll show them that it doesn't matter where you come from, only where you are going.
I am the first in my family to go to college. Act Six is inspiring me to be a doctor. I don't want to be the wealthiest or the most well-known; I want to serve my community— both the patients who can pay as well as those who can't.
Like Act Six has done for me, I ask that you find someone to invest in.
You can change their life. You can help them reach goals that they never thought were possible. You can help them change the world.
