Without access to structured activities, students lose academic ground, miss meals, and fall out of safe routines. Parents are often left scrambling for affordable, enriching options.
Many students experience up to 2 months of learning loss over the summer. By middle school, that’s a 2-year gap that is hard to fix.
How Summer Ventures Makes A Difference
Summer Ventures is a full-day, multi-week summer program for elementary and middle school students.
It blends academic support, creative enrichment, field trips, and fun, helping young students stay sharp and stay connected.
Summer Ventures eliminates learning loss for students. Many students begin their next school year stronger than when they left.
What it looks like
Each day includes hands-on activities like science, reading, art, sports, and gardening, along with nutritious meals and outings across the city. Staff and volunteers create a safe, joy-filled environment where students can explore new ideas and build lasting relationships.
Students return to school more confident, more prepared, and more connected to their learning. For many, Summer Ventures is where they try new things, find new strengths, and come alive.
