DOPA Form Assistance
SEEKING SPANISH SPEAKERS!
UV has partnered with Volunteer Lawyers Network of MN and are seeking Spanish speaking volunteers who can help our participants fill out DOPA (Delegation of Parental Authority) documents.
These forms will help provide temporary custody so that designated individuals can care for minors, take them to medical appointments or enroll them in educational institutions if their parents are detained, out of the country or otherwise unable to be present.
Specific Days: Tuesdays from Feb 18 - March 25
Specific Times: 10am - 2pm (2 hour shifts)
WORK WITH CHILDREN / YOUTH
Me & My Baby Events
We have multiple events coming up and we’re seeking volunteers to help care for children while parents attend classes, help plan family events, play guitar, etc.
Specific Dates & Times:
Feb 15, Mar 15, May 17, Oct 4 from 8am - 1pm
Feb 6, Mar 6, Apr 17, May 1, June 5 from 5pm - 6:30pm
Feb 5, Apr 9, 16, 23 from 10:30am - 12pm
Childcare: Mondays
Siempre Padres will be offering a support groups on Monday mornings to parents. During your volunteer time you will be able to play with the children, help with art activities, read to them and more!
Specific Days: Mondays (March 3 - June 9)
Specific Times: 10am - 12pm
Robotics
We’re dedicated to providing accessible STEM learning programs to our students and offer lots of fun classes for Elementary - High School aged kids.
Specific Days: Mon & Wed
Specific Times: 3pm - 5pm
WORK WITH FOOD
Farm & Nutrition
This program provides fresh produce, along with nutrition + cooking education to families, who live in Minneapolis food deserts.
