Learning together at Siempre Padres

Last Saturday, kids at Siempre Padres spent the morning painting and drawing. In the next room, their parents were in class too.

The session covered effective parenting and how the education system works, taught in partnership with Latino Youth Development Collaborative. While parents talked through what it takes to support their kids in school, their children had their own morning of art.

This Saturday, August 15, from 10 to 12, Siempre Padres returns for a second educational Saturday. Parents will focus on routines for the new school year and helping kids take responsibility for their actions. Kids will have another activity of their own.

Siempre Padres is Urban Ventures' parenting support program for Spanish-speaking families, known in English as Forever Parents.
