Ready for Liftoff
The classroom is buzzing. Four-year-olds trace letters, stack blocks into towers, negotiate who gets the red crayon. It looks like play. It is play. But it's also something more.
At the Cornwell Early Learning Center, we know how the story usually goes. Kids who start behind often stay behind. We've watched it happen for decades in our neighborhood. But we've also watched what happens when children get what they need from the very beginning.
Each child’s progress is closely tracked in literacy and math. Not to pressure them, but to personalize their support. Whether it’s identifying letter sounds, recognizing sight words, counting to 100, or understanding patterns, every lesson builds toward confidence and readiness and each child gets individualized help where they need it most.
This fall, our latest class of graduates headed off to kindergarten. And they went ready.
Every single student met or exceeded expectations in literacy and math, two of the strongest predictors of future success.
“They’re more than just ready, they’re confident.”

We often say our Cradle-to-Career model is like preparing a rocket for launch. There are a lot of steps. A lot of supports. A lot of people working together to help a child reach a successful, rewarding adulthood.
The Cornwell Early Learning Center is the launchpad. It’s the foundation everything else is built on.
And this year's graduates? They're ready to go far.
With your help, we're giving more kids the solid foundation they deserve. Thank you for making strong starts possible.
