Golden Hammer Scholarship 2025 Information
The Golden Hammer Scholarship (GHS) is a structured and transparent strategy for students of Lakes Street Works (LSW) to earn:
1) A FULL scholarship for an AAS degree from a variety of construction management programs at local trade and technical colleges.
2) A 2-yr. paid internship within the construction industry.
Students earn the Golden Hammer Award (GHA) by completing a rigorous series of exercises throughout the program year, all in addition to the normal LSW training requirements. Students will practice their learned money management skills by following the ultra-conservative strategies for budgeting, saving, and borrowing taught at LSW. They’ll also build on the communication skills they’ve learned at LSW by completing a thorough investigation of several construction-related career paths of their choice. Finally, students will work with program coaches to build their comprehensive career launch plan with the tasks and timelines required to begin…adulting.
