All Smiles
The kids in the Cornwell Early Learning Center didn’t go the dentist office, it came to them!
It was nearly all smiles at the Cornwell Early Learning Center as a team from Ready, Set, Smile visited for dental screenings, cavity prevention, and to teach some important lessons about dental health.
Thanks to their partnership with our school, families received these services at no cost and all during the school day. No drills, no needles, just a positive experience to help kids feel confident about caring for their teeth.
Of course, there were a few tears here and there. That is part of the process when you are learning to love the dentist. But for most of our students, the morning ended with big grins and a new sense of pride in their smiles.
Each child walked away with a toothbrush and floss cleaning, fluoride treatment, tips for brushing and flossing, and a prize to take home. More importantly, they left with the knowledge that taking care of their teeth is something they can do every single day.
Dental health might seem like a small thing, but it is a big deal for overall wellness. When kids feel confident about their smiles, it shows in the classroom, on the playground, and everywhere in between. We are grateful to Ready, Set, Smile for making oral health fun, approachable, and accessible for every student at Cornwell.
