A Day to Remember: 32nd Annual Urban Golf Classic

A little mist couldn't dampen the spirit of the Urban Golf Classic. On a cool, gray morning, more than a hundred supporters gathered on the course for UV's 32nd annual tournament.

The highlight wasn't a perfect put or a hole-in-one. It was Kimberly.

Kimberly is an Urban Ventures participant who, with the support she found here, was able to pursue her dream career. She stood up and shared her story, including the importance of organizations like Urban Ventures: "Hard work only gets you so far when the path isn't clear."

That's exactly what Urban Ventures exists to do, clear the path. For kids growing up in South Minneapolis, the gap between potential and opportunity is real. But students who have a community behind them are able to close that gap.

And close it you did. Together, attendees surpassed the goal of raising the final $35,000 of our Side-by-Side campaign. That means more mentorship, more support, and more young people with a clear path forward.
