Our Community Needs Us

In recent days, our neighborhood has been marked by disruption, fear, and grief.

Families we serve are navigating circumstances that feel both urgent and uncertain. Some are staying home from work or keeping children out of school. Others are making difficult decisions about daily routines that once felt ordinary. For many, this moment comes on top of circumstances that were already fragile.

We are here, and we are responding.

Our team is actively reaching out to youth and families we serve, checking in, listening, and identifying where support matters most. We are coordinating with trusted community partners and staying attuned to evolving needs so we can respond with care and clarity.

In moments like this, we return to what has always guided our work: loving our neighbors.

How You Can Help

We know many of you share that love and care for our community. The most immediate way to help is through the Benevolence Fund.

The Benevolence Fund is a designated fund that allows Urban Ventures to respond quickly and thoughtfully to urgent, unexpected needs in our community. This includes food assistance, support that helps families remain safely housed, and direct family care during times of fear and instability.

This fund exists for moments exactly like this one, when flexibility and speed matter most.

The need for our presence in the community continues to grow, and we are committed to meeting it together.

We also invite you to hold our neighborhood in your thoughts and prayers, especially families living with uncertainty and all who are working to bring steadiness and compassion to this moment.

Our community is hurting. Our hope remains. We will continue walking alongside our neighbors with faithfulness and care.
